Losing A Home

My name is Neil Schafer. I am 30 years old. I have four beautiful children, ages 3, 5, 8 and 10 years old. All girls, and a wonderful wife.
I am doing a 10-year bit in the Elkhart Federal Prison, in Lisbon, Ohio. The reason I'm writing this letter is because I have a home in Kosciusko County. It is at 2180 Ind. 14E. A beautiful home it is. The only problem is it is going into foreclosure.
My dad has power of attorney and has tried several times to work it out with the bank. No one returns his calls. Like most people, money is tight. Right now we can't afford $1,100 a month, but are willing and can afford $550 a month until I'm released from prison in 2016.
My wife and children have no place to go. My mom and dad are very old. So my question is, what good is this government bailout doing for the "public?" The banks are getting the money, and it's supposed to be used to help family's keep their homes. Right? The bank says they don't want the house back, but yet they fail to return my father's calls to work it out. Why is that I'd like to know. Why won't they accept our offer, and allow my wife and children to keep their home?
Now, they are suing us for back payment. We offered $550 a month but they refused. If anyone has any ideas or advice, please call my dad at 260-578-3080 His name is Ed Schafer, or write to me, please, with ideas.
