Kent and Carol Longenecker, Sheridan, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathie Ann Longenecker, Sheridan, to Julian Eric Ravenscroft, Bourbon. He is the son of Marian Ravenscroft, Bourbon, and Paul Ravenscroft, Elkhart.
The bride-to-be graduated from Sheridan High School in May 2007; attended Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion; and is finishing her elementary education student teaching and graduating in May.
 The groom-elect graduated from Triton High School in May 2006 and earned a bachelor’s degree in math education from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion in May 2010. He has taught math at the junior-senior high school in Daleville since August 2010.
The couple plan a June 11, 2011, wedding.
