After years of service and volunteering their time with the Warsaw Little League, Scott Long and Rich Utley have been added to the league’s wall of fame.
Long was the director of the T-ball program for the city of Warsaw for a number of years. When the Warsaw Little League took over the program in the 1990s, Long joined the association’s board of directors and served as president from 2001-2003 and again in 2007.
Long was involved in securing a number of grants to fund projects at Warsaw Little League Park, including yellow fence capping and the purchase of new equipment that is still used today, as well as the remodeling of the concession stand in 2002.
Utley served on the board of directors from 2001-2010, was the league president in 2005 and 2006 and served on numerous committees.
Utley played an integral role in securing grants for many of the things at the park, including the yellow fence caps that line the fields and the equipment used by the grounds crew.
Utley was also involved in securing a number of the advertising signs that hang on the fences.[[In-content Ad]]
