NORTH MANCHESTER – Lois I. Hill, 94, of North Manchester, and formerly of the Roann and Laketon areas, died at 2:15 p.m. June 14, 2012, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born Sept. 22, 1917, in Miami County, to Victor and Flossie M. Fouts Long. On Aug. 8, 1936, she married Gordon Achey, who died Oct. 12, 1970. On Oct. 26, 1974, she married Forrest Hill, who died April 9, 2004.
She graduated from Chili High School. She was a homemaker, farmer and worked at Oppenheim’s Department Store for many years. She was a member of  First Brethren Church, North Manchester.
Surviving are a stepson, Ted (and spouse Faith) Hill, North Manchester; a step-grandchild; four step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Chili Cemetery with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
No calling is planned.

Warsaw Gets Past Goshen On Penalty Kicks, Advances
A September match between the Warsaw and Goshen girls soccer teams resulted in a 1-1 tie after a hard-fought match. Tuesday night, the two teams met for a second time on a much bigger stage: the opening round of the 3A girls soccer sectional tournament at Elkhart High School. With a winner having to emerge this time around, it came down to penalty kicks, with the Lady Tigers winning 5-3 after a 0-0 tie.
