SYRACUSE — Winning eight weight classes Thursday at home, the Wawasee wrestling team got a 48-28 Northern Lakes Conference win over the NorthWood Panthers.

In the victory, Wawasee’s Greg Griffith (106), Greg Newman (113), Garrett Freel (126), Kyle Clevenger (138), Andrew Hepler (160) and Chad Eppley (220) all won via pins.

The Wawasee Warriors are back in action Thursday at home against Elkhart Memorial.

The Manchester boys swim team claimed a 100-60 win over the visiting Wabash Apaches Wednesday night. Along with winning the 200 medley and 400 free relays, Manchester also received individual wins from Clayton Marcum (200 IM), Kegan McNeeley (100 fly), Ross Messer (100 free) and Calvin Barnett (500 free). Manchester hosts Tippecanoe Valley Saturday morning.
