Local Resident Traces Ancestors To 6 B.C.

Connie Anthony, a local resident, has traced her ancestors back to Claudius III, who lived in the year 6 B.C.
"The biggest thing is you have to know where to go and have the right information when you go," said Anthony, "If I would have checked this out six months ago I wouldn't have gotten here."
She started her search in the Kosciusko County Historical Society as well as the Warsaw Community Public Library. Another valuable source Anthony used was the Church of the Latter Day Saints which has very accurate records. Anthony was able to obtain quite a bit of information from them.
"Things just started popping up at that point," said Anthony.
The Kosciusko County Historical Society claims that "it's very unusual" to get back that far. However, if the family is part of royalty, as was the case with Anthony, it makes the process easier because their lives are highly documented.
Anthony has only been doing genealogy for approximately a year and a half. She got her start by doing little jobs for her aunt, Georgiana Rutherford, who lives in Colorado. [[In-content Ad]]
