LANTANA, Fla. - A Kosciusko County man who may be responsible for a string of burglaries and the theft of a motorcycle has been taken into custody.

Franklin Lloyd Seeley II, 37, of Burket, was arrested in Lantana, Fla., Wednesday in a grocery store. Seeley reportedly was driving the Harley-Davidson motorcycle he allegedly stole from Burket July 6.

On July 6, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of a burglary at 7477 S. Beaver Dam Road, Claypool, where a 2001 Harley-Davidson Soft Tail motorcycle and a 2006 Suzuki four-wheeler were stolen.

During the investigation, officers from Mentone Police Department received information that Seeley might be living with family in Marion, Ind.

Officers from the Kosciusko County went to the Marion residence and found a meth lab, but not Seeley.

Officers then learned that Seeley might be living in the West Palm Beach, Fla., area and immediately contacted law enforcement in that area.

KCSD Det./Sgt. Joe Mooney stated that Florida officers found Seeley driving the stolen motorcycle in the parking lot of a Publix grocery store.

Mooney also said Seeley is a suspect in several other burglaries in the southern part of Kosciusko County.

Seeley is being held in Florida on a local warrant for possession of cocaine along with the burglary charges from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office. Seeley previously was out on a $15,000 bond from a May arrest for burglary Kosciusko County.
