Local Banks Serve as Drop-offs for 'Tools'

By Staff Report-

In support of Bankers Supplying Future Leaders, iAB Financial Bank and Tower Bank & Trust have volunteered to serve as official drop-off locations for The Salvation Army Tools for School program.
This program provides classroom supplies for the success of disadvantaged children. It helps to compensate for some of the basic expenses by supplying school needs such as book bags, notebooks, pens and pencils for students in grades kindergarten through 12th.
“Committed to the partnership and success of our local communities, iAB wants to be sure that our next generation of leaders has the tools they need to learn today,” stated Nancy Tumbleson, iAB vice president and regional manager.
“Students should walk into their classroom on the first day of school not having to worry about what they will use to write or how they’ll carry their supplies,” said Gary Shearer, president and CEO of Tower Trust Company. “Through the community’s help, we can be sure our students have the right school supplies come August.”
Between today and  July 19, items can be dropped off in any one of the red Tools for Schools barrels found in the seven Tower Bank & Trust locations and 17 iAB Financial Bank locations, with additional drop-off locations listed on The Salvation Army’s website.[[In-content Ad]]
