In her new book “Kindergarten Conversations: Treasured Memories from Thirty Years of Teaching,” published by iUniverse, retired teacher Carol Porter Noser, Warsaw, offers a collection of moments shared with her students.
She will hold a book signing Saturday at the Hallmark Party Shop in Warsaw from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
With 30 years of experience teaching in a public elementary school, Noser looks back on her career as one of the best jobs in the world. In “Kindergarten Conversations,” she shares some of the silly, sad and funny comments she heard from her students over the years.
As she shares one anecdote after another, Noser provides a glimpse into the active and imaginative minds of 5-year-olds.
“With all the many challenges of teaching and parenting, my book offers a lighthearted look at children interacting with their teacher, other students and their parents,” she said.
From rather open discussions about their family, to the misuse of words, to questions about God, the children profiled in Noser’s book share their innocent and honest views of the world.
Noser graduated from Huntington College and earned her master’s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. She taught at West Noble Schools in Ligonier for 30 years.
Now retired, Noser and her husband live in Warsaw, where they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
