Little Vikes Win State Title

The 8U Little Vikes won their Town & Country State Championship over the weekend.
The team went 4-1 with wins against Lewis Cass, Rochester, Alexandrea, and met up with Rochester again in the Championship game. The Little Vikes lost the first game to the Zebras but came back with a strong 19-9 win in the last game.
An outstanding team effort was capped of with the game-winning hit by Abby Gustaf, driving in Bayleigh Sleeth for the winning run.
This is the first softball Town and Country State win for the Vikings, who are from both the Mentone and Akron Youth Leagues.[[In-content Ad]]
