Members of the Pierceton Lions Club visited Pierceton Elementary this week to deliver dictionaries to all students in the third grade. The club has donated these to third-graders for the past five years. This is promoted by the International Lions Literacy Program. The teachers appreciate the dictionaries and it is great they get them so early in the year. They are used often during their studies to learn definitions, correct spelling and other life skills. At the end of the year the students are able to take the dictionaries home. Pictured holding copies of the dictionaries are, front row: Donna Nordstrom, Lana Wilson, Bev Reid; back row: Bob Tenney, Aaron Gambill, Brad Stahl and Ed Nordstrom.[[In-content Ad]]
