COLUMBIA CITY - Linda "Sue" Ousley, 59, of Larwill, died at 10:58 a.m. Oct. 18, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born July 24, 1950, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Ronald Hugh Sr. and Ada Belle Herron Hile. On June 23, 1973, at Troy Presbyterian Church, she married Jerry Ousley, who survives.

She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1969. A lifetime Whitley County resident, she lived at her present home since 1975. She retired as an inspector for Weatherhead, Dana and C.F. Gomma with 30 years of service. In her spare time, she tied blankets, enjoyed mushroom hunting, crocheting and knitting. "While she didn't have children of her own, she was a mom and grandma to a lot of kids, including her nieces and nephews, she always put others first."

Also surviving are her father, Ronald H. Hile Sr., Columbia City; a sister, Rhonda Jane (and spouse Ron) Trahin, Columbia City; a brother, Ronald L. (and spouse Jamie) Hile, Cromwell; two brothers-in-law, Homer (and spouse Marsha) Ousley, North Manchester, and Roy (and spouse Becky) Ousley, Pierceton; father-in-law, Homer Ousley, Pierceton; seven nephews and nieces: Christopher (and spouse Tiffany) Pressler, Conway, Ark.; Dean Pressler, Albion; Tara Kloss, Travis (and spouse Lindsay) Hile and Taylor Hile, all of Cromwell; and Kevin (and spouse Pam) Ousley and Rodney (and spouse Shelly) Ousley, all of Columbia City; and several great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Belle Hile; mother-in-law, Lurannie Ousley; and a niece, Tanyan Hile.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with Pastor Curtiss Johnson officiating.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
