MILFORD – Linda I. Ray, 69, of Milford, died April 24, 2011, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born July 5, 1941, in Fremont, Mich., to Glenn and Freda Dorgan Porter. On July 5, 1981, she married Joe Ray, who survives.
She loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She cherished her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside in her garden, scrapbooking and playing her favorite music on the guitar and organ. She enjoyed company, when she was able, she would go out and visit and the past few years having them stop by and see her. She retired from CTB after 26 years of service. She began her career in 1977 in production assembly and worked her way to an order processor in the grain systems business unit.
Also surviving are a daughter, Tammy (and spouse Jim) Kraft, New Paris; a son, Kevin Haines, Milford; a stepdaughter, Alyssa Schmucker (and Monte Lackey), North Webster; a stepson, Jason Ray, Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, with Pastor Timothy Sollenberger Morphew officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
