Defends President Bush
Editor, Times-Union:In response to Mr. Bryan A. Ciula's letter regarding President Bush (yes, he is President not just George Bush), one certainly has to give him credit, since he does not:
1. Advocate spiking trees and endangering the lives of hard-working loggers.
2. Pay homage to environmentalist extremists who torch car dealerships and apartment complexes, putting our brave firemen and -women's lives in danger, along with innocent people who might be passing by.
3. Try to bed down girls who work at the White House as interns.
4. When caught with his pants down, doesn't lie to a grand jury and have his law license revoked (as Slick Willie did).
5. Try to smear and destroy the lives and reputations of those who oppose him.
6. Have women crawling out of the woodwork with sexual harrassment and rape accusations.
7. Pardon at-large felons who innocently make huge financial contributions to him.
Those things he doesn't do, but he can be rightly accused of some others, such as:
1. Blessing Democrats - since he gave Haliburton (whose major shareholder (last I checked) is President Johnson's family.
2. Stayed loyal to those who have contributed so much to rebuilding countries (such as Haliburton) after World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia and Kuwait after the first Gulf War.
3. Let Kuwait and Saudi Arabia keep their oil when he could have so easily taken it since we had a huge military present in those countries for years.
Did you ever stop and think about what this world would be like without oil? If we didn't use oil there would be streets full of horse hockeys. Of course if that were the case, there would be no need of the same such as the letter this response is referring to.
Well, I could write much more, but I need something to drink. So like any good Republican, I think I'll find a good mud puddle for some of my favorite dirty water, eat some spoiled chicken and light some tires around my campfire, breathe the polluted air for some fun. Have a nice day.
