Money Talks
Editor, Times-Union:If the emissions from an ethanol plant are within government pollution standards I don't see what all the complaining is about. If the powers that control those standards think that there is no danger, then go to them with your concerns. This can be discussed in public forums, but your government will make the decisions.
To be honest, I feel that the ethanol plants will be built no matter how much dissent there is against them. You've heard the saying that "Money talks,**** walks." It's just a part of life that no one likes but that's been the way a lot of things get done - politics and money.

Uncontested
Editor, Times-Union:I don't understand what all the hype is about making sure you vote. In some cases it is understood, but three-fourths of the ballot was uncontested, so what difference could I make there? If it is so much of a big deal, then why do more people not run for office?

God Always Present
Editor, Times-Union:I'm not normally the type of person to complain about things. I usually just mind my own business and try to look the other way. But I just can't sit idly by and let this slide any longer.
I'm sick and tired of hearing people complain about having religious activities in schools. Our founding fathers were insightful enough to realize that this nation needed to be formed with complete trust in God.
For 200 years our nation has grown, prospered and become one of the strongest, wealthiest and happiest nations on earth. God has continually protected his people.
Now, a few people have come along and told us it's unconstitutional to allow God in our schools and in our government. I'm tired of hearing it. The unconstitutional part of it is that God was ever removed from schools or government in the first place. We took God out of our schools and replaced Him with guns and hatred. We took God out of our government and replaced him with more and more moral decay.
Now we're complaining that God isn't watching over us and that He doesn't care. God cares, believe me. He is just hurt that we are letting Satan take over our country. If some people are upset that this is "One Nation Under God," then let them find themselves another country to live in. Or better yet, let them find a church somewhere to visit and find out just what God is all about and what He can do for them, and this country. God is love! It's time we put God back where He belongs. "Get thee behind me Satan."
America, wake up!
We need God back in our schools, back in our government and back in our lives!

Editor, Times-Union:If it weren't so tragic that the liberals have taken over the Congress again, I'd have to laugh about President Bush's change of Secretary of Defense.
Being that George is from Texas, one would think that he understood the concept of not waiting until the horse is gone to close the barn door. If he had axed Rummy three months ago, I'd be willing to bet the election would have been different. I guess there's no accounting for arrogance. George just plain thought the country would keep buying his stuff because he said so.
