Safety Focus Success
Editor, Times-Union:With the organization, planning, sponsorship and assistance of MANY businesses and individuals, the first annual Focus on Safety: A Community Awareness Event, held in downtown Warsaw on Oct. 2, was a great success!
Scores of families brought their children to meet enforcement officials and their K-9 pals, firefighters and other emergency personnel, the American Red Cross and the National Weather Service; to learn about safety issues, including fire safety at Halloween time; and to participate in games and crafts. Safety literature was distributed to the adults.
We would like to thank such a caring community and the specific individuals and businesses that help ensure that we adults can more adequately keep those most precious to us - our children and grandchildren - safer.

Back To The Days
Editor, Times-Union:On Sept. 24, more than 1,000 fourth grade students from 17 area schools participated in Back to the Days School Day at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. This day was made possible through the support of many people and businesses. We would like to thank all those that brought history to life through demonstrations and assistance at School Day.

Won't Shut Up
Editor, Times-Union:It's not enough that I've got Matt Perry on my Second Amendment case, now I've got Anne Watts on the First Amendment.
I can deal with the Matt Perrys of the world. I don't agree with him, he doesn't agree with me. For people like Matt and I disagreement is the spice of life.
I was raised in a house with a mother, a grandmother and three older sisters. I don't take being told to shut up very well.
