Karaoke Success

Editor, Times-Union:
Saturday night's karaoke contest at the Wagon Wheel Theater to benefit Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice revealed some excellent vocal talent in our community. Congratulations to the winners!

Home Health Care was conceived and brought into existence by a group of registered nurses - Joy Carlson, Reta Walker, Jane Chinworth, Helen Shrode, June Reed, Doris Hartter, Nancy Zellner, Shirley Rhodes and Imogene Cauau. The agency began service in October 1976 with a staff of one, Patricia Dean, R.N. Working out of a meeting room at REMC, Mrs. Dean received her first patient referral from Dr. David Haines, M.D. Hospice was added to the agency's service in 1982.

Blessed by a dedicated and caring professional staff, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice continues to serve our community. Happy birthday, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice!

Missing A Mother

Editor, Times-Union:
I would like to thank everyone at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home for all the help, understanding and kindness. If we needed anything, they were there before we asked.

My mother passed into the loving arms of Jesus June 6. No matter what, I still can't give her up. They say time heals all wounds but I have a big hole in my stomach that will take much time to heal.

The five or six months my mom was severely ill, I got to know her better than I ever did. She liked my cooking so I was there every day. With each pat, hug and kiss, or smile, it was like I saw my mom as a new person I hadn't seen before.

Please kiss, hug, pat each chance you get or you'll be like me, an empty hole, a guilty heart. I missed much.
