Youth Camp
Editor, Times-Union:In this fast-paced world of crazy schedules, it is reassuring to know that there are still people willing to donate their time, resources and skills to give an enriching experience to our youth camp. Camp C.O. Mollenhour recently completed another summer of conservation camps and is grateful to the many hands that provided donations, programming, supplies and time to make camp successful. Our gratitude goes to: camper sponsors, camp directors and counselors, IDNR - Division of Law Enforcement, Vincennes University, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Indiana Bass Federation (especially the Fulton County Bass Masters), Indiana Hunter Education Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, IDNR - Division of Fisheries, Burket Fire Department, Warsaw SWAT and Dive teams, Church Waggoner, Kosciusko County Community Foundation and all others who assisted with camp.
Thanks for a great camping season!

Fire Report
Editor, Times-Union:I would like to tell everyone about my wonderful soon-to-be son-in-law. This brave young man and his brother helped to save five people that were trapped in a burning trailor this past week-end only to have the news story say that they made a false report on people trapped. For your information ... They (Lenny and Greg Reese) broke out the window in the trailor and pulled the people to safety before the fire department ever got there.
They are not asking for anything, but I do feel that they get the credit they so deserve. Had it not been for them, those people would have perished. Come on, Times-Union. Give these fine young men the credit they deserve. It is because of people like them that makes this world a better place to live.
They didn't have to help, but they did. Where is the justice of saying it was a false report? It wasn't! The fire was at Regency Estates in Pierceton. Do your background on it. I myself am very proud of these two men.

Editor's Note: Our reporter called the Pierceton Fire Department to get information about this fire to go with a photograph on page 1 of Monday's edition. Fire department officials said they initially received a report of people inside the trailer, but that report turned out to be false. Perhaps the fire department was unaware of actions taken before firefighters arrived. We use the fire department as our official source of information. When they reported no one was in the trailer, we had no reason to investigate further.

Editor, Times-Union:Combined Community Services would like to thank everyone who donated funding and/or school supplies to "Christmas In July." Through the generosity of Kosciusko County residents, clubs and businesses, 688 students started school this year with new school supplies.
Combined Community Services is grateful for your continued support because without you, programs like these would not be possible. Once again, you have made "Helping Neighbors Help Neighbors" come alive in the eyes and hearts of numerous children throughout Kosciusko County.

Grave Theft
Editor, Times-Union:You know, I think it is pretty low down when someone steals from the dead. I am so tired of putting flower and things on my brother's and brother-in-law's graves to have someone to steal it off. You know, if you can't afford it, ask for it, don't take it from the dead. You know, my husband is a truck driver so he can't do it, so I go to his brother's grave and make it nice to have some jerk to take it off. I hope you sleep good at night and someday you will pay for it. We are all praying for you.
