Editor, Times-Union:
I read Mr. Frantz' letter "Globalization" five times and I still don't understand what he's trying to say!

It seems he hasn't enough money to buy his dog a milk-bone. Well, duh! Get rid of the dog!

Editor, Times-Union:
Children, teens and adults really got into the "swing" of things at the Warsaw Community Public Library summer reading program, "Catch the Rhythm of Reading." Registrations totaled 1,441: 1,038 children, 168 teens and 235 adults. The total number of books read was 55,108. The top number of books read by one person was 302. During June and July, 112 volunteers worked alongside the Community Services staff, waiting on patrons 3,799 times!

We want to thank all of the businesses, organizations, patrons, reading clubs and sponsors who took "note" of our situation with state budget cuts and helped us out. There would not have been a summer reading program without your generosity!

A "rhythmic" step-step-step could be heard each Monday as the feet of children marched to Stories in the Park at Central Park. Thank you, storytellers, for your time, talent and obvious love of children, and thank you, Day Cares, who faithfully attended. Several adults graciously led programs: chess, the Kids' Variety Show and line dancing. Adults also judged the poetry and song writing contests for the teens. Thanks to the Times-Union for judging the short story entries and for publishing the winners. The Milford Public Library also helped by loaning us their parachute for Game Day.

A special "harmony" brought our community and WCPL together. And working together was the "key" to our success.

for the staff at the Warsaw Community Public Library
