Cable Choices
Editor, Times-Union:Too bad our cable company doesn't carry Fox Sports. There are many Cubs fans around the area who would enjoy seeing them more. WGN only carries a few of the games since Fox Sports took over. There are a lot of stations that are duplicated which we could do without. Merle and I took several bus loads to Chicago every summer to see the Cubs play. Most of those people aren't able to go anymore. If anyone else is interested in having Fox Sports, call Insight; it may help, who knows.

Zoning
Editor, Times-Union:I could not agree with Gary's comments more, and to Pie Eyed Petey's, why don't you just sell this property to the DNR (Destruction of Natural Resources) and let them put in a public access site. See, our same zoning board, in all their infinite wisdom, allows public access sites on residentially zoned property. Then instead of a nice little seasonal restaurant, those people will get a 24-hour free-for-all of bass tournments at 2, 3, 4 in the morning. This brilliant zoning board also allows the DNR to bring in excess of 150 people a day to these sites and provides no restroom facilities and no trash pickup. So instead of a decent, nice little restaurant, they will have people sneaking alongside their homes and buildings urinating and relieving themselves in front of their children and all over their property. You will find trash all over. Call the DNR and they will tell you they do not have the funding to clean up the trash created by their guests. All this allowed on residential property, 24 hours a day non-stop, provided by your zoning board and the DNR. Don't forget the body bags either, because 100 more transient boaters, most who have little or no knowledge of boating laws, on an already overcrowded lake, will most certainly cause more boating accidents on the waterway. Neither the zoning board nor the DNR cares about the residents in residential districts. I know from experience.

Harley Damaged
Editor, Times-Union:This is addressed to the person who backed into my Harley-Davidson Road King.
The person who hit my bike on Tuesday 7/17/01 when either parked in front of the courthouse on Center Street while I was in the bank or at Lance's in North Webster and took off, you are a lowlife. I have over $25,000 invested in this bike and don't say you could not see it because it is Concord Grape and stands out like an sore thumb. Well, I'll fix the damage and I hope you rot in (well, you know where). This also speaks well of your parents, guess they did a bang up job of raising you, didn't they now. I guess they are proud of their little lowlife now, too, huh. Well, I'm off to fix your mishap, hey, though, I wish the worst to you and yours, lowlife. ...
