Community Outpouring
Editor, Times-Union:We would like to take this time to thank members of our community for the outpouring of support for our daughter, grand-daughter and niece, Kyra Hackworth. Kyra was in a near fatal car accident on Feb. 1, 2003. After several surgeries and three months of therapy in Indianapolis, Kyra is now at home where she can enjoy being an active 5-year-old. Although she remains in a wheelchair, we are so fortunate to have her still in our lives. We are convinced the power of prayer had guided her doctors and her recovery. Members of the Warsaw Church of God, Warsaw Community Church and other congregations prayed for Kyra and offered their supports in ways which words alone can not express. Employees at The Paper in Milford, Harmony Press in Bourbon and Bob Evans in Warsaw sent gifts and cards to a little girl they only knew by name or through acquaintance. Thank you, Spectacle Shoppe, for the care package sent to Kyra for her birthday while at the St. Vincent Pediatric Rehabilitation Center.
For anyone else we may have missed, thank you so much for the special thoughts, gifts and prayers for Kyra. What a great community!

Nursing Home Week
Editor, Times-Union:In celebration of National Nursing Home week, Miller's Senior Living Community was fortunate to have five generous individuals from the Crusin' Hoosiers Car Club cruise by to bring back a bit of nostalgia to the residents and staff. Several residents were able to reminisce of races won and lost, cars bought and sold and sun-filled days behind the wheel. It was very refreshing to see the willingness of club members Art Gakstatter, Larry Armey, Dick Coppes, Dave Manning and Roy Hauth to make time to give back to those from our community that have given so much to each of us. Thank you once again from the residents and staff of Miller's Senior Living Community!
