Lena Shepard, 81, died at 10:40 p.m. April 7, 2011, at Summit City Nursing Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne.
She was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Warsaw, to Walter and Rose C. Schutt Kline.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a secretary for RR Donnelley for more than 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Donnelley Club. An accomplished pianist by ear, she had played at many places including nursing homes and The Summit in Fort Wayne for the enjoyment of others. She enjoyed cooking, loved to make brownies to share with many others, including the staff of the doctor’s office and the meat department of the grocery to name a couple.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (and spouse Larry) Armey; three grandchildren, Joseph, Phillip and Thomas Armey, all of Warsaw; and three great-grandchildren, Mariah, Braxton and Kylee, all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry M. Coble, who died Jan. 30, 1993; a brother, Larry Kline, who died June 24, 1941; and a sister, Wanda P. Galtney, who died Feb. 25, 2009.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
