NORTH MANCHESTER – Lelia F. “Lee” Martin, 96, of North Manchester, died at 5:40 a.m. June 22, 2013, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born April 23, 1917, in Peru, to William and Eura Etter Ireland. In 1935, she married Raymond Mitchell, who died April 1, 1949; in 1950, she married Harlan G. Flack, who died April 14, 1972; and in 1974 she married Hershal N. Martin, who died Feb. 9, 1999.
She was a sales clerk at Oppenheim’s Department Store, North Manchester, for 42 years and retired in 1999. She was a member of Peru United Methodist Church. She graduated from Peru High School in 1935.
Surviving are a son, William (and spouse Nancey) Mitchell, Warsaw; a daughter, Sheila (and spouse Robert) Snell, Indianapolis; three stepsons: Joseph (and spouse Shirley) Martin, Marion; Rex (and spouse Jeanie) Martin, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Charles (and spouse Caroline) Martin, Sweetser; a sister, Bonita Harris, Peru; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers; and six sisters.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
