In honor of Barbara Coy Leedy’s 90th birthday, an open house will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
She was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Fort Wayne, to Rollin E. and Marcile Smith Gray.
On Oct. 20, 1943, she married Edward T. Coy, in her parent’s Syracuse residence. He died Sept. 17, 1966.
She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1942. She spent her adult life in the Syracuse/North Webster area until moving to Pennsylvania to live with her daughter. Her memberships included St. Andrews United Methodist Church;  Senior Mothers Club, Syracuse; and Lakeland Quilt Club, North Webster. She worked a long time in human resources at United Telephoene Co., Warsaw.
The open house will be hosted by her children: Edward T. “Tom” Jr. (and spouse Kathie) Coy, Grand Elanc, Mich.; Richard “Dick” (and spouse Nancy), Syracuse; Don (and spouse Christine), Melborne, Fla.; Paul (and spouse Colleen), Mansfield, Ohio; Caryl (and spouse Daryle) Fish, Greensburg, Pa.; and Lori (and spouse Andy) Brown, Plantation, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
