INDIANAPOLIS - The Lawn at White River State Park, an outdoor performance venue in downtown Indianapolis, has announced its lineup for the 2009 summer concert series.

The concert series will feature O.A.R., Bonnie Raitt, Incubus and more. Tickets for The Fray and Fall Out Boy, previously announced, are currently on sale. Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Now in its sixth year, the waterfront amphitheater - overlooking the White River - continues to offer affordable prices. All concerts offer tickets under $40, and every show provides a pack of four general admission tickets for a discounted price.

"The Lawn continues to be one of the best venues - and values - for outdoor concerts," said Bob Whitt, executive director of White River State Park. "We look forward to a great concert season, and believe Hoosiers and visitors will enjoy this affordable opportunity to experience live music in the outdoors."

The Lawn was again named one of the top 100 outdoor amphitheaters in the world by Pollstar magazine in 2008. And in past years, the venue was voted No. 1 outdoor concert venue in Indianapolis by NUVO and Indianapolis Woman magazine readers.

"One of my first true 'Indianapolis experiences' after coming to the city last August was a concert at The Lawn. My family and I were blown away by this unique venue. Not only did we enjoy exceptional music, but the outdoor environment in the heart of downtown was unlike anything I've encountered. This is truly a remarkable component of our great city," said Don Welsh, president and CEO of the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association.
