Lavore E. Nesbitt, 96, Warsaw, passed away at 12:31 p.m. Oct. 26, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born May 5, 1919, in Lamar County, Ala., to Jesse and Verla Osborn Christian. In November 1935 in Lamar, she was united in marriage to Leroy McDonald, who preceded her in death July 19, 1975.
She moved to Indiana in 1951 and then returned to Alabama in 1974. She then moved back to Indiana in 2006, living in North Manchester and Warsaw. She worked with several companies, including Sun Metal, Warsaw, for 25 to 30 years. She attended Sweetwater Assembly of God, North Manchester, and New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw. She also attended church services on Sundays at Retired Tigers.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Bumbaugh, North Manchester; a son, Ray (and spouse Sandy) McDonald, Dunedin, Fla.; nine grandchildren: Gary, David, Jeff, Joseph, Jim and Paul Bumbaugh and Steven, Robert and Kurt McDonald; her special friend, Monte Lackey, Warsaw; 25 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; a great-great-great-grandchild; and several sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.
Services will be at noon Saturday at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw, IN 46582.
