Laura B. Kunkle, 75, died at 2:35 p.m. Oct. 26, 2011, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.

She was born April 27, 1936, in Greensburg, Pa., to Jesse and Grace Hamilton Thompkins, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 26, 1955, in Greensburg, she married Eugene Kunkle, who survives in Pierceton.

She moved to Kosciusko County from Pennsylvania in 1959. She was an assembler at Da-Lite Screen Co. for 41 years, retiring in 2007. She was a 1955 graduate of Greensburg High School. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 253, North Webster; River Valley Antique Power Association, Three Oaks, Mich.; and the Senior Activities Center, Warsaw.

Also surviving are four daughters: Mary (and spouse Troy) Musick, Elkhart; Laura Mae (and spouse Jon) Custer, Leesburg; Nancy (and spouse Keith) Breeding, Donaldson; and Donna Kunkle, Pierceton; three brothers: Bill Thompkins, New Alexandria, Pa.; George Thompkins, Greensburg; and Dan Thompkins, Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Florence Ann Edwards, West Peotone, Ill.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Thompkins.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Leesburg Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Bob Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw.

Calling will be private.

Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
