John and Darlene Lash, Mentone, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Lash, Indianapolis, to Todd Buerstatte, Libertyville, Ill. He is the son of Bill and Jackie Buerstatte, Libertyville.

The bride-to-be is a registered nurse at Riley Hospital for Children - IU Health, Indianapolis. She graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2004 and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Anderson University in 2008.

The groom-elect works at First American Bank, Elk Grove Village, Ill. He graduated from Libertyville High School in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Taylor University in 2007.
