He was born March 9, 1937, in Goshen, to Harry and Lucille Graff Hite.
A lifetime area resident, he was dispatcher for the Indiana State Police, retiring in 1999. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1955-59.
Surviving are three sons: Randy, Syracuse; Greg, Goshen; and Jason, Nappanee; a stepson, Steve Isbell, Colleyville, Texas; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanley Hite, Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg. Military honors will be by members of North Webster American Legion.
Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
