PIERCETON - Larry L. "Tiny" Myers, 72, of 5425 E. Washington Road, Pierceton, died at 10:34 p.m. Jan. 18, 2010, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Fort Wayne, to Cora K. Redinger Myers. On May 18, 1982, he married Verlie Belle Spencer Poe, who survives.

He was a polisher at Othy Inc. for 18 years, and retired from Zimmer after 19 years. He was a 1955 Atwood High School graduate.

Also surviving are a son, Thomas (and spouse Lorrie) Myers, Pierceton; three stepdaughters, Reece (and spouse Mark) Morris, Kathy (and spouse Virgil) Hale and Lisa (and spouse Ron) Parrett, all of Pierceton; a stepson, James (and spouse Kathie) Poe, Pierceton; a brother, Bob (and souse Virginia) Myers, Warsaw; a sister, Judy (and the late Richard) Plotner, Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and an uncle, Byron Redinger, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Ind. 13, Pierceton, with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
