BOURBON – Larry Klingerman, 75, Bourbon, passed away at 5 a.m. Aug. 25, 2014, at his residence with his family at his side.
He was born April 14, 1939, in Etna Green to Floyd C. and Mabel Flory Klingerman. On Dec. 15, 1984, he married Lee Ann Redman, who survives.
He had been a lifelong resident of Bourbon.
He was known by many for the old cars he had restored, particularly his 1940 Willys Jeep. He had worked at Biomet and retired in 2003 as a supervisor after 43 years of employment. In his spare time, he loved old cars, his Corvettes, drag racing and all the activities that related to hot rods. He will be greatly missed by all.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Smith, Warsaw, and Brandi (and spouse Gale) Greer, Bourbon; a son, Trent (and spouse Kathy) Klingerman, West Lafayette; nine grandchildren: Cameron, Logan, Caleb and Luke Smith; Elisabeth, Caroline and Gabrielle Klingerman; and Gavin and Abbigale Greer. He was also blessed with two sisters, Linda Rogan, Canton, Ohio, and Zada (and spouse Robert) Border, Bourbon; and a brother, Dan (and spouse Donna Klingerman) Bourbon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Powell; and a brother, Jack Klingerman.
A celebrations of life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Burial is in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
