He was born April 10, 1940, in Elwood, to Leonard and Thelma DeLawter Stover. He married Nancy Banghart in Warsaw. She survives.
He retired from Biomet Inc. as an engineer. He was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw, and enjoyed church activities. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing tournaments, making fishing flies and building or repairing fishing rods.
Also surviving are his children: Susan Stover, Warsaw; Malea Williams, of Mathews, N.C.; Bryan (and spouse Connie) Stover, Hendersonville, N.C.; Terry Spiegel, Indianapolis; Robert Spiegel, Walkerton; Helen (and spouse Kenny) Haines, Plymouth; and Kathy Anglemyer, Silver Lake; three brothers, Max (and spouse Mary) Stover, Kokomo; Ray (and spouse Linda) Stover, Columbia City; and Ed (and spouse Malinda) Stover, Elwood; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Trent Stover.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
