SYRACUSE – Larry Dean Sult, 67, died Aug. 25, 2012, in IU Medical Center, Indianapolis, where he had been since Aug. 16.

He was born in South Bend to Harley E. and Ethel Lambert Sult. On Oct. 27, 1995, he married Gloria So, who survives.

A 1963 graduate of New Carlisle High School, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska. He worked as a machinist at Zimmer for more than 20 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Also surviving are a son, Edward Dean (and spouse Stacy) Sult, Leesburg; a stepson, Kenneth (and spouse Stacy) Clore, Elkhart; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Amanda (and spouse Robert) Sternitzke, New Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Larry Dean Sult.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home officiated by Pastors Tim Knauff Jr. and Russell Snyder, of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, South Bend. Cremation will follow the service.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
