MENTONE - Larry D. "Ralph" Miller, 72, of 4442 W. CR 200S, Warsaw, lost his brave battle with cancer at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009, at his home.

He was born March 9, 1937, in Warsaw, to Melvin and Catherine Bowser Miller. On Aug. 31, 1957, he married his pride and joy, Sharon J. Horn, who survives.

He retired from RR Donnelley & Sons after 35 years of service. In addition to his time there, he owned Miller Metals Finishing. He loved his family, loved gardening and tending to his farm. He was a 1955 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

Also surviving are a daughter, Angie (and spouse Jeff) Moore, Burket; three sons: Terry Miller, Claypool; Tony (and spouse Lynda) Miller and Troy Miller, all of Warsaw; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Miller, Winona Lake; eight grandchildren: Jeremy, Sara (and spouse Steve) Sulkey, Cody, Mercedes, Sydney, Tiffany, Macy and Josie; two great-grandchildren, Coleman and Kaitlyn; a sister, Shirley Newman, Warsaw; and a brother, Bobbie Miller, Fayetteville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Miller, a granddaughter and a sister.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with the Rev. Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be at Mentone Cemetery.

Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
