Lance Kevin Clay, 54, of Warsaw, died at 12:01 p.m. March 14, 2010, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Oct. 3, 1955, in Warsaw, to Marvin and Shirley Holder Clay. On Sept. 19, 2006, in Warsaw, he married Geneva Ousley, who survives.

Living most of his life in Warsaw, he was assistant golf pro at Orchard Ridge Country Club; sales manager for 7-Up; and route manager for Aratek Industrial, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Victory Rock Church, Pierceton, and Sons of the American Legion Post 49, Warsaw. He was on the Warsaw Community High School golf team from 1973-74. During his golf career, he made five holes-in-one and two holes were made while he was legally blind.

Also surviving are two stepchildren, Pamela and Matthew Manuel, both of Warsaw; a granddaughter, Danielle Manuel Ousley, Warsaw; his father, Marvin Clay, Warsaw; a brother, Lonnie Clay, Warsaw; three sisters: LeeAnn Galbreath, Noblesville; Lynn (and spouse Bill) Leslie, Burket; and Lana Neff, Naperville, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; a stepchild, Sandra Manuel; and a nephew.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
