Dennis and Lorna Schori, Winona Lake, and John and Bobbie Laker, Pamplin, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Laker,  Indianapolis, to Justin Hendricks, Indianapolis. He is the son of Gary and Sherry Hendricks,  Plymouth.

The bride-to-be works at Prairie Material. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1999 and Ball State University in 2004.

The groom-elect works at   FinishMaster. He graduated from LaVille, Lakeville, in 1999 and Manchester College in 2003.

The couple plan a July 20, 2012, wedding.
