Lakeland Youth Center Stage One Performance And Luncheon Set

SYRACUSE - Drama students of Lakeland Youth Center Stage One will showcase their skills at a performance at Wawasee Middle School March 21.

A luncheon will be served beginning at noon with the performance beginning at 12:30 p.m. The performance will be followed by the first ever LYC academy awards presentation.[[In-content Ad]]The drama troupe has been practicing acting, choreography, singing and auditioning skills under the direction of Dave Kempher. The cost for this event is $10 for adults, $5 for children (over 3 years old) and children under 3 will be free. Tickets must be purchased in advanced by contacting Lakeland Youth Center at 574-457-3055 or 574-529-1970.

LYC Stage One is a drama troupe workshop that includes introduction to theater, acting, improvisation, group team building, music, choreography, singing, dancing, auditioning and a performance. Registrations now are available for the next session to be held April 15 through June 3. Children from first grade through 12th grade can enjoy this drama troupe.

LYC Stage Two is the next step in the drama troupe. Only those that have completed Stage One can register. This program will be more in-depth programming focusing on auditioning, music, dance, improve and cold reading. Registrations are now available for this advanced session, which will be April 16 through June 4 with their recital on June 6.
