Lady Trojans Beat Argos 10-0 Twice

BOURBON – Triton took a pair of softball games from visiting Argos by identical 10-0, five-inning scores Wednesday.
In the opening game of the doubleheader, the Lady Trojans scored six runs in the third inning. Taytum Hargrave and Nichole Sechrist had RBI triples, Heather Stichter drove in a run with a double in the inning. Courtney Jennings was the winning pitcher, striking out eight in five innings of work.
Game two saw Triton score twice in each of the first two innings, then clinch the game with four tallies in the fifth inning. Hargrave had three singles, giving her six hits in the doubleheader. Sechrist got the win in the pitcher’s circle.
Triton (12-10) opens play in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference tournament, hosting Caston on Friday. The winner will advance to Saturday’s semifinals[[In-content Ad]]
