Lady Cats Claim First TRC Win Of Season

SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko won its opening Three Rivers Conference tennis match 3-2 over Maconaquah Wednesday.
At No. 1 singles, Morgan Keirn won a three-hour match against junior Brandi Jones (6-7 tie breaker, 6-0, 6-3). At No. 2 singles, Delaney Keirn beat sophomore Betsy Powell 6-1, 6-2. Rounding out the singles at the No. 3 spot was Jackie Werstler with a straight-set win over Erika Rose.
