La Pasadita Cooperates With ABC
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
Owners of La Pasadita, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw, have been cleaning up the business and were rewarded for their efforts by having their alcohol permits renewed by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission Thursday.
The renewals were for a beer retailer and Sunday sales retailer permits.
The business had paid $900 in fines for 22 violations against it.
Indiana Excise Officer Patty Fleck, ABC member, said there had been a variety of problems at the establishment, including health code problems, a problem with their address and allowing a minor to loiter. Fleck, the fire marshal's office and a fire chief did a complete inspection of the business and told the owners what needed to be done. Since then, Fleck said, "to date all violations have been corrected. ... All 22 violations are corrected and they are well aware of what they need to do."
Fleck said La Pasadita plans to move to another location, but they have been cooperative in making sure their new location will meet code.
"Since I've been in there with the fire chief that day, they have gone out of their way. ... I'm very much pleased," she said.
The permits were approved unanimously.
The board approved the transfer of ownership for Dewart Lake Inn's beer, wine and liquor and Sunday sales retailer permits. The bar and restaurant is at 9522 N. CR 300E, Syracuse.
In other business, the ABC approved the renewal of the following permits:
• Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Lake City Highway, Warsaw, beer, wine and liquor retailer permit.
• Fraternal Order of Eagles 1339 Inc., West Center Street, Warsaw, beer, wine and liquor and Sunday sales retailer permits.
