Bernard and Pauline Kuhn, 4502 S. CR 800W, Mentone, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 22 at Burket United Methodist Church, CR 700W, hosted by their children.
They also will be celebrating Bernard’s 80th birthday, which is May 26.
Bernard and the former Pauline Whittenberger were  married at Beaver Dam Church officiated by the Rev. Ray Kuhn, the groom’s uncle. 
Bernie retired from the Kosciusko County Highway Department in 1994, after 25 years.
Polly was a full-time homemaker for most of her married life.
The couple have four children: Beverly (and spouse Randy) Romine, Etna Green; Jeff Kuhn, Burket; Greg (and spouse Lee) Kuhn, Claypool; and Brenda (and spouse Donnie) Lynch, Pierceton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren with the fourth expected in June.
