COLUMBUS, Neb. - Kristine A. Hanus, 99, died Dec. 16, 2007, in Columbus.

She was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Brainard, Neb., to Adolph and Josephine Ratkovec Polak. On Feb. 6, 1934, in Brainard, she married Leo A. Hanus, who died Jan. 19, 1998.

Surviving are four daughters, including Lori (and spouse Dennis) Masur, Warsaw; four sons; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and two grandsons.

Services were Wednesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Columbus, with Archbishop Jerome Hanus OSB officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Omaha, Neb.[[In-content Ad]]
