The groom-elect is employed by J.R. Fox Jewelers, South Bend. He is a 2005 graduate of Marian High School, Mishawaka, and attended: Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio; University of Hawaii at Manoa; and Indiana University, South Bend.

A Dec. 29 wedding is planned.

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.
