Kosciusko REMC will sponsor $1,000 scholarships for up to six selected high school seniors or current college or graduate students for the 2012-13 school year.

Applications are available at the Kosciusko REMC office, 370 S. CR 250E, and can be downloaded from the “Community Involvement” area of the cooperative website at www.kremc.com

Applications also are available from area high school guidance offices. The deadline is March 30 to submit completed applications to the KREMC office.

Applicants must be a member, or the dependent of a member, of KREMC. The scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of academic achievement, financial need and community involvement/leadership.

Graduating high school seniors and current college students, as well as adults working toward a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree are eligible to apply so long as the scholarship funds are remitted to an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

This marks the ninth year for the KREMC scholarship program, which has awarded $46,000 in scholarships during its history.

For more information, contact Troy Cozad, KREMC communications specialist, at 574-269-0349.
