By Staff Report-
The renaming was part of a more extensive rebranding effort that included a new website and logo.
“Our mission will remain the same: making the lakes and streams of Kosciusko County cleaner,” Nate Bosch, center director, said in the announcement. “But the new name will better convey our identity as an organization.”
The program has operated as Kosciusko Lakes and Streams since its 2007 inception, but as its focus became more defined, its name needed to reflect that, according to its directors.
“The new identity clearly shows the affiliation with Grace College. Being branded as a center at an academic institution conveys that there is going to be an emphasis on research, education and community outreach,” said Anna Burke, program manager for the center, in the release. “Bringing the word “center” into our name also points to our desire to be a resource center for the community.”
The rebranding can be seen on the recently launched website at lakes.grace.edu
“Our website has been updated to be more modern in appearance with better functionality that allows us to expand more easily. We can now continuously add new content,” said Burke.
