The 2012 Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund Gala and Auction is at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club in Leesburg.

The event is Sept. 8 with social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m and the dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.

“Wild Heart,” a classic rock and country group, will perform at 8 p.m.

This is the 13th year for the event.

The Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, administered by K21 Health Foundation, provides assistance to financially eligible residents of Kosciusko County who are suffering from cancer.

There will be two awards presented to honor Tom Tuttle Sr. and Jo Lemon, who started the KCCF Fund.

2012 Idol Winner Romy Reich will sing during the gala.

Julia Moore, mother of Bailey Moore, will speak about her daughter’s battle with leukemia.

New this year people can bid on items using their cell phone.

There was $29,300 raised during last year’s Cancer Care Fund auction.

People can now view this year’s auction items at cancercare.auction-bid.org

Live auction items include a one-year Stonehenge Golf Course membership, one week Marco Island vacation home and dinner cruise for six, dinner for eight at Cerulean’s, four pit passes to the 2013 Nationwide Brickyard Race; a jet ski; pontoon and four suite tickets and a parking pass for a Colts suite for the Dec. 9 game against the Tennessee Titans.
