Kos. Co. Red Cross Names New Emergency Services Coordinator

The American Red Cross of Kosciusko County has named Kimberly Stout as emergency services coordinator.

Stout served on the Emergency Operations Committee at the medical facilities in Antarctica.

She received extensive survival training, and will be in charge of coordinating disaster services as well as the emergency services to the Armed Forces. This will include recruiting and engaging volunteers.

“The leadership of our disaster action team further strengthens our ability to meet the needs of our community,” said Linda Nelson, interim chapter director.

“Kimberly’s experience and comprehensive understanding of disaster processes and procedures will greatly benefit the Kosciusko Chapter of the American Red Cross.”

Prior to working in Antarctica, Stout worked as an account manager for Raytheon, in Germany, which creates training programs for a wide variety of companies.

Stout has a master’s degree in German from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt., and a bachelor’s degree in French and Russian from Grace College in Winona Lake.

She is currently working on her master’s in business management in emergency management and homeland security at Indiana University in Fort Wayne.
