By Staff Report-

WINONA LAKE – Kids Market Inc., a non-profit organization with 501c3 status, will hold its semi-annual sale March 29 at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake.
Kids Market Inc. exists to help the women and children of Kosciusko County by holding two consignment sales each year - one in March and another in September.
Families bring their gently-used maternity and children’s items, and volunteers organize the items and hold a consignment sale.
The sale begins Thursday with set-up and collection of items, and concludes March 30 with pickup of unsold or donated items.
Kids Market’s favorite time comes after the sale when the families the organization has adopted come and get clothing for free; when the organizations come to collect their boxes of donated items; when stories are shared about how this sale has helped the women and children that live in the community; and when the organization meets with local non-profits to make financial donations to their organizations.
Kids Market has found organizations locally that align perfectly with their mission, and the organization is thankful for the work these people are doing to impact the lives of families in Kosciusko County.
The average number of items sold in the spring sale is 21,700 with 341 sellers. After the bills are paid and budgeted for the next sale, the money left over is given away.
After the September 2013 sale Kids Market donated $13,750 to the following non-profit charities: Fellowship Mission Homeless Shelter, CCS Project Independence, Heartline and BABE, Baker Youth Club, Beaman Home, Lakeland Youth Center, North Webster Community Center, Teen Parents Succeeding, New Beginnings Preschool, North Webster Daycare and Silver Lake Community Food Pantry.
Since the first sale in the fall of 2001, Kids Market has donated more than $166,000 to local organizations.
