Jim and Susanne Kessler, Winona Lake, announce the engagement of their daughter, Janelle Kessler, Vernon Hills, Ill., to Doug Meyer, Arlington Heights, Ill. He is the son of Bud and Connie Meyer.

The bride-to-be is a social worker at Lamb's Farm, Libertyville, Ill. She is a 2000 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and a 2004 graduate of Grace College, Winona Lake.

The groom-elect is a graphic arts designer in Arlington Heights, Ill. He is a 1998 graduate of Buffalo Grove High School and a 2002 graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art.
