Kenton Neal McDonald, 58, of 8660 S. CR 400E, Claypool, went home to our heavenly Father at 11:20 p.m. Aug. 5, 2012, in the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb. He will always be remembered as a husband, father, farmer and a friend.

He was born May 17, 1954, in Noblesville, to Jack and Marilyn Hammons McDonald, who both survive in Silver Lake. On June 5, 1982, in Warsaw, he married Cheryl Lynn Montel, who survives in Claypool.

He had a great love for farming and especially raising his Angus Beef herd. He recently retired from his investment casting lab tech position at Zimmer Inc., Warsaw, after 39 years of service. He had served as a 4-H leader for the Sidney Triple S Club and over the years enjoyed helping his nephews and neighbors with their animal projects. He will always be remembered as a good friend you could count on.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his son, Justin Neal McDonald, Sidney; a daughter, Melissa Lynn McDonald, Indianapolis; two brothers, Trenton (and spouse Marilyn) McDonald and Brenton (and spouse Tabatha) McDonald, all of Silver Lake; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Kent Harting officiating. Burial will be in Clemmers-Fishers-Ross Cemetery, Claypool.

Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
